About This Community
Known for its clean, white sandy beaches Manasquan is a shore town filled with a lively young atmosphere and family activities. New Jersey Monthly magazine ranked Manasquan as its 22nd best place to live in its 2008 rankings of the "Best Places To Live" in New Jersey. The Manasquan Inlet provides some of the East Coast's best surfing. Manasquan also has a downtown area with many small businesses. The Algonquin Arts Theatre has shows and movies that play throughout the year. Manasquan is also the home of The Fisherman’s Cove Conservation Area, a 52 acre natural area composed of dunes, salt marshes, fields and woodlands, located along the Manasquan River. This haven is a natural draw for walkers, bird watchers and fishermen.
In recent years, Manasquan has become more of a year round community, a fact stemming from the increase in the demolition of traditional beach bungalows and their replacement with year round single family homes. Learn more about the community on their local website
