Beachwood is a charming town founded when an ad ran in 1914 to allow subscribers to the New York Tribune to receive a beautiful lot with a six month subscription to the paper! Originally, it was primarily a community of summer bungalows but that all changed as Ocean County continued to grow. Now a pleasant mix of new construction, older homes both large and small give Beachwood a lovely mixed housing stock. A great family town!
The Beachwood Beach is available to residents and has full time lifeguards, a snack stand, tennis and nearby softball field. The Beachwood Yacht Club affords members a wonderful family atmosphere and hosts a variety of activities throughout the year, including their wellknown children’s sailing program. With the Beachwood Community Center, which is available to all residents to host parties in their waterfront facility and the community docks, Beachwood is really equipped to help residents take full advantage of life on the water.
Check out the local website for more information about Beachwood. The schools in this area are great, and The Beachwood Yacht Club has an excellent program and is very family oriented. The Beachwood Soccer Club is another popular recreation opportunity for kids.
